System and Database Administrator - Microsoft Environment

About the Role
This is a varied role which will see you applying your technical and database skills across new and exciting projects in a Software as a Service environment.
This role will require a good understanding of systems administration, especially Windows administration and an excellent knowledge of database administration, especially SQL Server

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage application and database instances deployed across datacenters in multiple locations and time zones
  • Responsible for business continuity planning and disaster recovery
  • Manage our hosting service providers and ensure SLAs are achieved
  • Actively monitor server and application performance, take proactive steps and initiative to ensure service delivery, including performance tuning of DB servers.
  • Provide technical support to internal users
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to infrastructure and administration
  • Assist with out-of-hours support

 About You
The successful candidate will have the following key selection criteria:

  • Experience managing Windows and IIS Server platforms and enterprise applications.
  • Experience as DBA using Microsoft SQL Server 2005, 2008 or SQL Azure
  • Experience of Microsoft products particularly Office 2010 suite & Microsoft Exchange
  • Experience in configuring/maintaining high-availability/clustering setups
  • A broad awareness of internet and network technologies e.g. DNS, DHCP, IIS etc
  • Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical audiences and demonstrate good interpersonal skills

Telemarketing / Outbound Calling

Part-time 3 days per week (flexible)

About the Role
CarbonSystems is seeking an experienced and motivated Telemarketing expert to join the Sales team at our Head Office in central Sydney. As the first contact in the Sales process, your duties will include:

  • Daily outbound calls to an established lead database to identify potential direct opportunities
  • Setting qualified appointments for our sales team where applicable
  • Entering call activity into the CRM database
  • Raising tasks in the CRM database for follow-up action
  • Adding relevant business and contact information to the CRM database
  • Web research to identify new prospects and appropriate contacts

We are looking for an ideal applicant who can quickly build rapport with the prospect and, by asking relevant industry questions, identify whether sales opportunities exist for our business.

Experience or an interest in sustainability and energy management sector will be deemed favourable.

About You
To be success in this role you will possess the following skills:

  • Experience in appointment-setting and cold calls in a B2B environment.
  • Demonstrable track record generating leads, identifying new business opportunities and achieving telemarketing call targets
  • Confidence in cold calling
  • An excellent phone manner, and outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Strong investigative skills and the ability to “ask the right questions”
  • Office & computer skills are essential

Working in collaboration with CarbonSystems, we were able to develop an overarching data entry sheet specifically for online-NGERS reporting. This in turn took any confusion out of the data entry at the front end I believe we can even further streamline the process for the next reporting period.
